How to Avoid Risks

Log Out

Whether you are using a public computer or not, it is always a good idea to log out when you are finished at a website that requires a username and password. Don’t just close the browser, or go to another website, because you will probably still be logged in to your account at the site that you just left. Instead, click the logout link, and make sure that your login information is not saved on the login page.

If you fail to log out completely, someone can sit down at the computer as soon as you get up, go to history, go to the site where you just were, and see all of your information – simply because you didn’t log out, and you didn’t erase your history.
