Step 6: Set the security on your
email
If you use an email client on your
system, such as Microsoft’s Outlook or Outlook Express, you need
to set the security on it. Look under ‘tools’ at the top of the
email window, then click on the ‘security’ tab. Read through all
of your options carefully, and choose which security options you
want. Remember – more is better when it comes to security.
Web based email, such as Yahoo or
Hotmail have their own way of setting security. It is often done
on their side, and you have no control over it. However, you do
have options, which you should take advantage of. This is
typically found under ‘mail options,’ and mostly deals with
spam.
